Splish Splash!
Since I’ve started back at work, when I get home, for me, it’s all Sammy all the time. Melissa deservedly gets the evening off and I take care of the little munchkin. A nice little tradition we’ve started is having bath time be a Father & Son moment. It’s our bonding time that I look forward to every night and, well to be honest, I feel useful! I believe that is the biggest problem I’ve been having since Sam took his first breath: feeling useful! But Melissa says I’m doing great, so as long as she’s happy, I’m happy 
So now that Dad has an official baby job to do, I give it my all…and Sam does too! He gives his ‘all’ on my hand, my arm and sometimes my leg. Wherever his little pea shooter is aiming, I am foolish enough to have some kind of body part in the way for him to soak! 
I’m always very talkative to Sam. So when its time for a bath I let him know and he usually puckers his lips and gives me this look. So I get the bath setup ready and lay him down. He lies there looking at me with a hint of expectation in his eyes, like he’s saying: “Come on man, get me outta these freakin’ diapers!”. So off comes the pyjama and out comes the belly! 
Let me tell you this baby loves being nekkid! But, his little bottom lip starts quivering so I put him in the water so he doesn’t catch a cold. Once all that washing nonsense is done, I wrap him up till he looks like a baby taco! Hmmmm… baby tacos… Then I pat him dry and make sure he’s clean from head to toes and put him in a brand spankin’ new pyjama…which he then pees on. 
Well, OK, that doesn’t happen every night. 
After an exhausting bath like that, a warm bottle is all he needs, and it’s off to La-La land for Sammy…even while sitting up!
